Château Mouras Graves 2022

Château Mouras, crafted by oenologist Jean‑Christophe Barbe in the heart of Graves, is known for producing reds that balance ripe Bordeaux fruit with the region’s hallmark mineral freshness. Their Graves reflects that signature style through a blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the wine both generosity and structure.
The nose opens with plum, blackberry and redcurrant, layered with cedar, graphite and warm spice from the Petit Verdot. On the palate it’s supple and rounded, with Merlot providing plush fruit while Cabernet and Petit Verdot add lift, grip and a darker savoury edge. The gravel soils show through in a clean, stony freshness, keeping the wine bright and balanced. The finish is smooth, gently spicy and quietly persistent.
